Khudayar Mohla — Advocate High Court
Counsel Profile
A career at the intersection of law, courts and public legal discourse.
Khudayar Mohla combines a leading litigation practice with deep exposure to the judiciary — systematically documenting Pakistan's most consequential constitutional proceedings.
Khudayar Mohla is an Advocate of the Islamabad High Court, legal practitioner, legal educator and legal journalist with more than two decades of professional engagement with Pakistan's legal and judicial landscape.
He is the Managing Partner of M & S Law Firm (Axiom Chambers), Islamabad, and the Founder of The Law Today Pakistan (TLTP) Newswire Service, an independent legal and public-affairs publication covering courts, legislation, governance and developments of public importance.
Mr. Mohla previously served as President of the Press Association of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, during which he covered some of the country's most consequential judicial and constitutional proceedings. His experience in judicial reporting spans major constitutional, political and accountability cases, including proceedings concerning the restoration of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, NAB matters involving senior political figures, contempt proceedings against a former Prime Minister, the Panama Papers litigation, proceedings involving Imran Khan, and the high-treason proceedings concerning former President and Army Chief General Pervez Musharraf.
His practice encompasses constitutional, civil, criminal and public law, with particular professional interest in access to justice, transparency, right to information, judicial administration and legal reform. He is also described as an accomplished Right to Information Advocate before the High Courts.
Alongside legal practice, Mr. Mohla has been engaged in legal education, teaching jurisprudence, constitutional law, procedural laws and international law to law students at public-sector universities in Islamabad. His academic qualifications include an LL.B., LL.M. and M.A. in Mass Communication — an interdisciplinary background spanning law, legal communication and journalism.
